Updating News Section

So, uhm, pretty much it's been confirmed via Log posts that SMBHQ won't be updated much anymore, or placed into "archive status". I still feel like posting news so hopefully some people still browse that page once in a blue moon.... but I don't think so :-(

Realistically, SMBHQ shut down because its main purpose--Mario information--had been superseded by about three other sites.

As for news, note that the person who made that NSMB thing stole most of his stuff from someone named Treeki, and that in highlighting him, you have mostly helped perpetuate him being a plagiarizing idiot.

Yeah, let's just say the REAL people who made the stuff he's stealing have been living a life of horror as he gets all the credit for what they did in all the big places.

And to finish my thought, SMBHQ main itself is dead mostly because of the Mario info thing; on the other hand I don't think anyone minds if NC gets the occasional short or News continues. Neither of those have the issue of being totally outmoded by multiple sites. (Well, there is TMK, but there is not a lot of focus on Mario-specific news without it being blurred out by "We added game XYZ to our game section" news.)

I made a brief tweak on the SMBHQ main page to emphasize the still-updating news posts.

Now to go back into obscurity....
