But does it actually have full texture smoothing support, etc, on the 3DS tech?

Yes, we can see you going in a circle with the stick and the pad, you are totally superfly fresh.

I don't know if you gonna get very fancy with Super Mario 64 to be honest. Maybe if it was Sunshine, I'd take notice

Actually, unless they hard-coded support for the game into the DS, it's pretty much guaranteed that the analogue is still going to have the same digital response range as the d-pad. Not sure what these guys were excited about.

I think it's because, even with just 8 directions, it's still easier to maneuver with an analog instead of a d-pad. It's not as hard on the thumb & the transition around the compass goes more easily.
