Talking Marios age

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figured out mario's age. Try to follow along, as this is very confusing. In Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, Prof. E. Gadd get his lab destroyed by a volcano. He then says that he is going research ghosts. He goes to research where luigis mansion take place.

In Luigi's mansion, Prof. E. Gadd says that he has been in the woods for 20 years. This means that 20 years has passed between Parters in Time. This puts mario and luigi at about 20-21 years of age.

Nuh-uh. I live in an alternate dimension where Mario was born in the real world and Jesus is a video game character.

Mario is 2005 years old. Glory be to his holy Marioness. All must go to the Universal Church of Latter-Day Pastafarians.

Saeed raises a good point. We dont know how old baby mario and luigi are. But I like to think that they are about a year old, give or take a couple months.

Those who honestly believe the Mario Bros are in their 20s need to have their heads examined.

Hey Sean Im right, ok. Did you even read my reasoning. Look at the parts in the game I mentioned. And anyway, who are you to say Im wrong.

Tell you what, if you can prove me wrong from facts from the games I will admit im wrong.

First of all, you dont know how old baby mario and luigi were!

Second, they could talk (babys) so they mustve been older...

third, in yoshi island games (such as yoshi-touch-and go) baby mario and luigi were passing over the island, then kamek came and stole luigi..
and mario was in diapers and could barely say ANYTHING! and by how long it took for mario to get out of yoshi island was days! (while going through levels)
so, everyone knows that babys cant talk very well until like, 3 or 4...
so we dont know how old they were (babys) when they were in the partners of time game...

and Fourth, I like NC, and jay should update more...

PROOF!

Good reasoning, but we don't know EXACTLY when E. Gadd began studying the house. He may not have gone there immediately.

What about Peach? She was a baby the same time as Mario and Luigi.

I don't need proof. It's just common sence.

But if you really want some look at the movie (I know this is a bad example). Bob Hoskins, who played Mario, was 51 when the movie was made, though you can estimate that his character was somewhere in his late 30s to 40s. John Leguizamo was 29.

Also, if you look at the Super Mario Super Show, Lou Albano (who played Mario ) was 56 and Danny Wells (who played Luigi) was 48.

So, by get such old actors to play the Mario Bros, you would have to assume that the video game characters are similar ages. This is better proof that some trivial assumptions made based on what you see in a video game (which doesn't try that hard to follow continuity I might add)

^ uhhhh....it's the other way around

And before you argue that the Mario Bros are twins, let me repeat that Nintendo doesn't stick to continuity

Nah. I still believe they are twins. They both look quite similar in age.

The Super Show and the Movie dont count, because nothing that happens in either happen in the games.

If that were the case, Big Berthas would no longer be huge fish, but giant fat women, and Bowser would be a human with a fleshy mohawk. And, regarding the Super Show, we'd be seeing Mario and Luigi in Brooklyn as well as the Mushroom Kingdom in every game, just like the Super Show insists.

I'd say that both brothers are about 32-38. I dont agree with them being in their early twenties.

Whilst Jimajima3000's theory makes sense, we need to take into consideration that in Partners In Time, the baby Mario bros were wearing full clothing. In Yoshi's Island, they were in diapers. This would mean that in PIT the babies are at least 2-4. In Yoshi's Island they are 0, because they are newborns.

The same can be used to figure out Bowser and Peach's ages. Bowser is clearly older then the bros and Peach, because in PIT, he could speak in full English, while the bros and Peach could only cry, giggle, and say a few other words. Bowser was at least 5-7 in PIT. Peach, on the other hand, would be younger then the Bros, because the bros had a wider vocabulary in PIT. They could say eachothers names, and some other words. They didnt have as gifted English as Bowser did in PIT, but their speech was wider then Peach's.
So Peach would be 1-3 in PIT.

Mario and Luigi, with common sense, are most likely 28-32. I know they can't be older. Here's why-
1.They were meant to be middle-aged, but as the game series progressed, it looked like they were young.
2.Look at the Mario Sunshine cover picture. Mario looks young!
3.(Jimajima's theory may be right, but they'd be 23-24)
4.Look at Luigi's mansion grahics. Luigi looks 30!
5. Come on. Common sense tells you they are NOT over 34.
