Red face Mario

How did you hear of Mario? When I was 3 I was playing with my toys in the basement and then I saw an NES box with Super Mario Bros. & Duck Hunt and the Zapper so then I asked my mom to hook it up for me and then I SMB played for 5 or 4 hours .

I was 3 or 4, I saw an SNES and N64 in my room, but I was too young to use it.(my parents said) But when I was accidentaly left home alone and locked in my room from the outside, I played SMAS, and then SM64. I got used to the controls in 5-7 minutes, and became a pro at SMB, losing no lives until level 6.
It took a long time to get used to the N64, and I wasn't too good at it until I was 6.

TV commercial for SMB 2 (though I think I've played Donkey Kong before that -- this was the first time I knew Mario by name)

Pretty much the same as Deathscythe, except a lot more Zelda and Shining Force, heh.

My neighbors had the system before Super Mario Bros. 2 came out, my brother and I became addicted to it.

My mom had my sister and I try out Tetris Attack on our Super Nintendo, and we liked the system. So she got us some Mario games, and we loved them.

My brother got a NES for Christmas and we use to play it for countless hours. The game that came with the system was SMB/DH.

My cousin had an NES.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

That DID happen, I'm no liar.
That may have happened, but yeah, that's now how I learned about him. I learned about him when I was a baby, my mother and big bro played our NES, and I used to watch.

Let me be the first to say that given your track record, I don't think anyone has reason not to call bull**** on that.

I've been playing SMB/Duck Hunt ever since my brother taught me how, when I was about 3, along with Zelda.

I mostly got my start on the SNES, because that's what was big when I was growing up until the N64 came around. Even then, the SNES was(and still is) my favorite.
