I think he's a genius, but I don't think that he's a super-duper, kick-ass genius better than everyone else. I haven't heard of anything he said being crazy (in the context of being Japanese), but I think he has valid insight into making a fun video game.

Truely, I used to be like you, I use to love his games, and all he touched, but now, I hate fanboys, and I hate Mario, for reason this topic stood out when i was looking at the index. Right now the only nintendo game im going to buy is LoZ TP, im not going to by any more of Miyamoto's childish games.

He's a genius alright, but he's not the best video game maker ever. He's probably number two behind Shigetsu Itoi, who made the Mother games. -CSM

No, he's made childish games. Look at Yoshi Story, for chrissake. But, not every game is like that. Very few. The things that he sticks in them, though.. Like Tingle... Eh. Is it possible for that man to make a game that I like without even one retarded and irritating element? He has a problem lately where he mistakes quirky ideas for good ideas. Part of it is how Nintendo makes nothing but sequels, anymore. So most of the changes a person like him makes are going to be a step down in quality, to me.

Did he? I honestly wish death on whoever's responsible for implementing the baby Yoshis' sounds and appearance in the place of adult Yoshi, ever since that game.
