I'm pretty sure it's "true". I've been hearing it since a couple of days ago. In fact, there's another thread in VGF with the same OMG attitude.

The only thing that makes me think it's a joke is the name.

"Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games"

It seem so...Half-assed, and unprofessional.

I think it'll be crappy. Olympic games? I want to see platforming and adventuring and fighting, not a Wii Sports spin-off with Mario and Sonic characters.

A platforming game would be the most outlandish, idiotic thing imaginable.

It's gotta be real; only complete tools start April Fool's jokes in March. It needs to happen on the day, or else it's not worth it.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

It's probably just a pre-title.

I mean come on, Nintendo would definantly cover up Sega's stupidity somewhere.

It's not a Wii Sports Spin-Off, silly. It's a Mario Spin-Off and a Sonic Spin-Off at the same time. Get your head screwed back on.

^NO. You are WRONG. It's the same concept as Wii Sports or Rayman: Raving Rabids (LOVE Rayman) but with Mario and Sonic characters. Sorry if I sound mad, but I'm pissed right now.

Question

It was inspired by the upcoming Bejing Olympics 2008.

I never thought that the Mario and Sonic crossover would take place in Bejing.

^^Same concept? What the hell are you smoking? So it's a multi-sports game for the Wii. It's in the same genre as those two. But if this game is a spin-off of Wii Sports, then Caterpillars are Dogs.

And Wii Sports and RRR do NOT have the same concept.

Well now gentlemen, we'll just have to wait and see what Nintendo and Sega coughed up into a game, eh? I suppose Mario and Sonic style combinations will make a really pot-smoked game.
