Red face Was There Ever A Mario Anthology Game?

Hi, I'm just now getting back into Mario after 10 years, so I apologize for asking such a newbie question. I know that Sonic and Mega Man had anthology collections of their older games released. Did Nintendo ever do this for Mario? I seem to remember that older Mario games were released separately for one of the Game Boy systems, but were they ever put together into one disc?

Thanks.

Outside of the Mario All-Stars SNES game, no. Although, you can sometimes find 2 or more Mario games hidden in a game, like in Animal Crossing for the GameCube.

Thanks.
I remember hearing that the Japanese version of SMB2 was released here a few years ago. Does anyone know the title? That might be why I thought there was an anthology out.

^It's just called "Super Mario Bros 2" in Japan. Here, it's called "Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels". Similarly, the SMB2 here is called "Super Mario USA" in Japan. And no, I don't think that The Lost Levels was ever released again in the U.S., besides in Super Mario All Stars.

^^The Virtual Console feature is still there. There's a thread in the Ninty Main forum listing what games are available so far; more will be coming out.

^How could you not have heard of it? It was one of the biggest selling points of the system: 22 years worth of backwards-compatibility.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
