| Guest Posts: n/a | What happens when Mario and Luigi die? Do they really die? In Super Mario World, we even see a halo above our heroes when it's "Game Over". Are there extra Marios and Luigis as the first four games suggest? I say no. Bowser's selected minion of the area (like the resident Koopa Kid, for example) probably throws them back to the beginning of the stage, losing whatever power they had and the ground they gained. But, were I right, wouldn't Mario and Luigi be melted by now? I'm willing to bet Bowser's lava isn't hot enough to do the job. Is he that dumb to leave an ax AND have extremely hot lava? |

Mario and Luigi die, but they travel through time. (Not to be associated with the-worse-than-Mario-is-Missing-Game Mario's Time Machine.) |

| Guest Posts: n/a | In Mushroom Land, it's impossible for anyone to die. That's why Bowser is never defeated and when you restart a level, the enemies you previously defeated return. That, or they all live in the Mushroom Matrix, so it doesn't matter. |

The Mushroom Kingdom has a factory that produces clones of Mario and Luigi out of green mushrooms. So whenever Mario or Luigi collects a green mushroom they transport it immediately to the factory. So whenever Mario or Luigi dies they send out one of their clones. |

I know some guys were being funny but the serious guys... wow. Gahh! Don't analyze something like this. If you MUST have an answer, it's like a 'choose your own adventure' book. You having Mario die dozens of times are possibilities.--> Think about it, say you've passed 20 levels and died once on every level. Once you're on the 20'th level still none of the deaths 'actually happened' because Mario is there. |
