Are the Piantas colorblind?

In Super Mario Sunshine, Mario is mistakened by Shadow Mario. How is this possible? Shadow Mario is completely blue, and the real mario is a normal looking plumber with normal skin color. About every Pianta in Delfino Plaza should have seen shadow Mario clearly. Well, if they did notice, they probably didn't care!

Dont you know why? they grow those trees on theirs heads then smoke them like pot and get high off them! thw whole island is one big drug addict! those hermit crab like people smoke it in their shells when you scare them into hiding inside them!

Not only that, but Shadow Mario's body moved around like a walking glob. Mario's is completely normal (except with the possible exception of his stomach).

All video game/movie/cartoon characters are complete idiots. They never have the ability to tell the difference between a hero and a villian who looks somewhat like the hero.

Actually, in SA2B, Shadow was sighted at night, so it was easier to mistake him for the real thing.

It's sorta like that one episode of All That where Superdude (Kenan Thompson) faced off against Evil Superdude (Amanda Bynes), and no one could tell the difference until they were splashed with milk.
