if anyone has ever played the game, then can they tell me if you can unlock toad? and if so, how many ways are there of unlocking him?

There is only one way to get Toad:

Choose Peach (any mode).
Start the match.
Press B.
There's Toad.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Last year I heard that Toad was playable.

Last year, we also found out it was a hoax. You can't play as Toad alone in SSB:M. The only way to see him in a normal fight is as Hayfever said.

Last year I heard that Sonic and Tails were playable. Last year I heard that Tetris and Stanly the Bugman were playable. I don't think they're true. Do you?
