Number 9!

Yoshi Eggs
Ok, Yoshis eat, Yoshis swallow, Yoshis make eggs, Yoshis throw eggs, Yoshis, wait...Make eggs? Now how is this possible? This is a big mystery, by answering these:

1. Are all Yoshis female if all of them can lay eggs?

2. How do the eggs come out RIGHT when he swallows the enemies? In 1 second without the digestive system?

3. How if you eat a shy guy, and it becomes an egg, a baby comes out? Where does the mating occur? Is the shy guy a father/mother? Or these are seperate?

Those are confusing thoughts, but maybe YOU can help solve this mystery :Unsolved mysteries theme:

I hope Yoshi's not a girl...

Yoshi's are probably just a unique species of creatures where both the males and females can lay eggs.

I've heard roosters lay eggs but I'm not sure. They're probably not fertilized as mating hasn't occured. I always thought the ennemie was incased inside.

Two possibilities:

-Yoshis are hermaphrodites that fertilize their own eggs:

-Like graboids of Tremors fame, Yoshis reproduce by eating. The more they eat, the faster the eggs grow.

Well, it doesn't make any sense for a Yoshi to throw it's children around at enemies, so I don't think the eggs they use as weapons are the same ones they reproduce from.
Now, I know the eggs a Yoshi hatches from looks the same, however I think those particular eggs are created when a male Yoshi and a female Yoshi mate.
On the other hand, I think Yoshi's are able to transform their food into eggs which don't hatch, but instead explode. Humans do sort of the same thing, but they don't make exploding eggs. Of course, they would have to have a very fast digestive system.

My Yoshiology Theory is located at http://tmksd.tripod.com/mariologylzn64yoshi.html

That one talks about several aspects of Yoshi, though, not just eggs.
