Super Mario and Mario Kart, the 64 versions. If I had played Mario Tennis (64 or GCN) I would select it third.

The best Mario game ever has to be Super Mario Bros. 2 for the NES. This was the best game to me because it was so mysterious. Right at the beginning if the game, you're falling down from the sky. There is a door right above you. When I was a child (I'm now 18) I ALWAYS wondered what was behind that door. I questioned myself, "Could it lead back to Mario 1?" "Is it a secret room?" MAN I always wanted to enter that door, but there was NO way to do so.

Well, my brother and I heard that the game genie was released. We combined our money to buy it. We were so amazed at what these game genie codes could do. I looked up Mario 2 and saw super jumps and stuff. Hmm...I thought that I could use this to enter that door. I tried it, but it did not work. I was VERY dissapointed and angry!

Even though you couldn't enter that door in the sky, Mario 2 WAS and still IS the greatest Mario game of ALL time. I still rememember when we first got Mario 2 back in the days. I think I was about 5 or six or something. My brother was just a few years older than I was. He owned a Nintendo. Every day, we'd walk home from school. One day, we arrived home from school and happened to see that nice, shiny blue box with Mario on it. It was Super Mario Bros. 2! (our parents bought it for us). My brother and I were SO amazed. We had Mario 1, but we were not aware that there was gonna be a Mario 2! We immediately put the game in. All we could think was WOW! There was no time limit, you could be Mario & Luigi, or even Princess Toadstool or Toad! My brother played the game first because it was his Nintendo. We just thought that you had to jump on the enemies, but instead, you just stood on top of them as they walked. He pressed B and without us expecting it, Luigi picked it up! Man we thought this was the greatest game!
