Why didn't Mario get arrested when...

He killed the last Whacka in PM? You'd think killing an endangered species would be bad enough, but he killed the LAST one. Discuss.

There's no police in the Mushroom Kingdom. [img]tongue.gif[/img] J/k Well, he didn't really kill it, because when you go back there, there's always one, unless you hit it a certain amount of times and then it disappears but i've never done that.

1) There were no witnesses. If there were, who would believe that their hero would do that?
2) Who really cares?
3) Who would stand up to Mario? For the most part, these guys are wimps compared to Mario.
4) Did he really kill him? All he did was whack him over the head with a hammer, right?

I think you just have to hit the Whacka once to get the letter. You have to hit it many times to kill it.
Either way, Mario is above the law. Look at the Mario Party commercial! He was obviously shocked that he is in a place where he can be arrested.
Either way, the whole Whacka thing does upset me. The fact that Whacka can talk and write letters makes me think it has human intelligence, and it isn't right to hurt it for food. I guess that this proves Mario doesn't have a set personality. Maybe he is kind, and maybe he is a cruel person who likes to hit Whackas.
I do believe it may die, though. Lets look at how it's conversation progresses as you hit it.

• At the start, Whacka has relativly good memory and conversation abilities.
  As out heartless plumber hits Whacka more times, he shows signs of memory loss. This probably means Mario is starting to cause some serious damage.
  After even more vicious attacks from the menacing Mario, who is starting to seem only slightly better than Bowser, Whacka's speech is almost completely messed up. If I remember correctly, that is. This suggests that even more damage has been caused.
  Eventually, Whacka will decide that enough is enough (I would to). When he was Whacked in the past, he would go into his tunnle and escape. However, he now explodes in a similar manned to defeated enemies. I supose if you believe Mario kills Goombas and Koopas, then he kills Whacka.

It sure looks like Whacka is dead to me.

Yep, he shows signs of memory loss and eventually starts saying gibberish. I think he's dead, personally. I think Mario's worse then Bowser if you do that, he doesn't kill an endangered species. As for not being arrested, I agree with several points:
1: In the mushroom kingdom, he's above the law.

2: No witnesses.

3: Even if the above were not true, he beat Bowsers entire army alone or with Luigi's help, something the mushroom kingdom failed at. Need I say more? Mario would just laughed and smack the police force away when they showed up. Though Luigi might cause problems...

Wario got Peach's trophy back from Captain Syrup back and Mario stole it and gave to Peach HIMSELF?!Wario should've told the authorities!

Why SHOULD Mario get arrested? If Mario's arrested, then "Cuddly" bowser will have Peach captive in that stuffy castle forever! And also, in Earthbound, Ness didn't get arrested when he barged into people's houses, but he did get in trouble with that policeman, but he never was in jail.
