That's right, Nintendo's bringing a direct conversion of the awesome SNES platformer to life on the handheld, in the form of Super Mario Advance 3.

The GBA version is identical in gameplay to the original, but there is one difference: the designers have given Yoshi his voice established in the N64 Yoshi's Story. So he'll grunt, cheer, and make his cute Yoshi squeaks during the adventure. It's currently unknown if this game will have a four player multi-boot challenge like the previous Super Mario Advance games.

Watch for a hands on as well as movies tommorrow. The game's scheduled for release on September 30th.
It looks like we'll have have to wait longer until SMB3 remake. Your thoughts?

I still believe that Super Mario Bros. 3 would have been a better choice for the lastest Super Mario remake, but there is no arguing against the fact that Yoshi's Island was an incredibly awesome game in its own right. I won't buy this for the same reason that I didn't buy Super Mario Advance 2; I own it on Super Nintendo and don't particularly have a need to buy it again for a different platform.

However, of course, I strongly urge anyone who missed out on the original Yoshi's Island to buy this right away.
