Is Shiek in Super Smash Bros. Melee?

It has just come out in England and I'm concidering bying one. Is Shiek a hidden character as he is in my demo. I know Ganondorf is.

In SSBM, Zelda can turn into Sheik. Sheik isn't a hdden character and neither is Zelda.
