Why shouldn't he? After all, Luigi's Mansion is a different genre of game for Mario, I think it'd be cool for another, more adventure-y version of it.

Indeed. Professor Gadd was the living epitome of Star Wars in Mario. He talked like an Ewok, and gave me a distinct feeling of Yoda (except for the backwards grammar).

He's one of my favorite Mario characters (tied with Professor Kolorado), and being the smart guy he is, I'm sure he could put that inventive mind to something other than Ghost-catching equipment. Oh the things he could build! *eyes light up*

His role in future games seems limited, but I'm sure Nintendo could think of some way to implement him as a character in the future.
