Ok, I was just thinking and this popped in my head. Super Mario World is supposed to the SNES sequel to the SMB games. And Yoshi Island is the sequel to SMW. And then Yoshi's Story is the sequal to YI.

So, that would make Yoshi's Story, SMB 6, SMW 3, and Yoshi's Island 2. Yoshi's island is SMB 5, and SMW 2. And SMW, SMB 4. Does anyone else think this might be a little confusing? Maybe Nintendo shouldn't make games sequels of games that are already sequals, but rather, make all games into seperate series.

Maybe you should get a drink of water.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I still have a bone to pick to this day... I felt that Super Mario World should have been called 'Super Mario Bros. 4' (it was titles as such in development). Changing the name because of a new system was stupid, few other game series does that.

Yoshi's Story is a sequel to Yoshi's Island... Yoshi's Island! Gahh! Another game I have a problem with (it negates the original 'Mario and Luigi come from Brooklyn' story). But at the same time I don't think Yoshi's Story counts as one of the games in the major series, it doesn't have Mario!! (you can argue with me, but you will probably not sway my thinking).

After SMW and (possibly) YI (it doesn't seem to fit with the other games...) comes SM64 then SS. Tada!

Take a look at the Super Mario Land Series! It started with SML1 then 2, then Wario Land subtitles SML3... now the Wario titles extend to no.4 on the Advance! And he's got a Wario World to be released!

Super Mario World was called SMB4 in Japan.

I also don't beleive that Yoshi's Story is part of the Mario saga. It is not really a sequel, as it does not continue the story from Yoshi's Story. Just having the same character does not make a sequel. That is like saying Yoshi's cookie is a sequel to Yoshi's Island.

Nintendo can make more money buy making a Wario series too.

^Nintendo calls it a sequel, but I believe it's more of a spinoff.

That's like beleiving Nintendo's SLT, which is obviously false. (How can Zelda GCN be Link's first adventure (When he's 12) while OoT occurs when he's 10. Also, he gets the green tunic in Zelda GCN
