In the end of Yoshi's Island, it shows Mario and Luigi in the Mushroom Kingdom being held up by their parents (Their parents COULD just be dismembered hands you know!) And Mario and Luigi are found in Brooklyn Ref. Donkey Kong and Mario Brothers. How did they get to brookyn From the mushroom kingdom?

Thoery 1: Mario was afraid of being sucked down the drain and into another world, so Luigi decided to show him you can't get sucked down the drain, but since the drain was cursed by Kamek, it sucked Mario and Luigi in. They developed Amnesia in Brooklyn and were adopted. They became plumbers because they had visions of Pipes in their dreams.

Thoery 2: Mario and Luigi were playing near a warp pipe and they fell in. Their dog went and barked madly at their parents, but they were too late in saving them from the Warp Pipe.

Thoery 3: Luigi tried to save his favorate Marble from being sucked down the drain and fell down. That's why we don't have drains as big as montana anymore.

A common theory is that Mario and Luigi's parents were afraid Kamek would still come back to them, so they used magic to transport them to our dimension. They appeared in Italy, but they were too young to remember anything about the Mushroom Kingdom. When they were discovered in the middle of a road, they got them quickly to an orphanage. They were later. adopted by a couple who's last name was Mario. When they were kids, the Marios immigrated to Brooklyn. Mario and Luigi grew up and became plumbers. One day they were fixing some pipes, and the got sucked in them. They appeared in the Mushroom Kingdom, and there they met Toad, who explained everything about their true identities, and that they were the only ones who could save Princess Toadstool, who had been kidnapped by Bowser.
