i don't get why you can't get a cape in any of the other mario games execpt in the snes games

Well the cape wasn't introduced until the SNES games, and there have only been 2 true sequels to the lineage scince then, M64 and SMS, and those didn't have ANY of the original power ups in them anyway. Unless you consider 1ups and coins power ups, which they are, just not in track of powerups that I am thinking.

BUT there was a cape in YI for baby Mario. But it sucked.

The Cape also appeared as a deflecting attack for Mario in SSBM, but it's not really the same, is it?

In SMW when I was small Mario, I did a Drill Stomp and I saw an outline of a cape...Weird, huh?

Each Mario game tends to have its own power-ups so there's a kind of variety. And to be fair, the cape was in the new version of SMW on the GBA. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
