No, that makes them go to sleep. Actually, you have to have a certain number of coins and a certain amount of time left on the clock when you finish a level. I'm not sure how it works actually.

by getting a certian ammount of coins on a certian level.

for example:

World |Requirement| Reward
1-4___| 44 coins___| P-Wing
2-2___| 30 coins___| Anchor
3-8___| 44 coins___| P-Wing
4-2___| 22 coins___| Anchor
5-5___| 28 coins___| P-Wing
6-7___| 78 coins___| Anchor
7-2___| 46 coins___| P-Wing

here is a better answer:

1. Have at least one Wandering Hammer Brother left on the map screen.
2. Enter a level.
3. Hit the Roulette Block at the end of the level.
4. After getting the time bonus, your Coin total must be a multiple of 11 (i.e. 11, 22, 33, etc., but NOT zero), and the tens digit (the second number from the right) of your score must match the repeated number in your Coins total. (Example: 55 coins, score of 27650.) A Treasure Ship will replace the Wandering Hammer Brother
