I can't say "Kamek"!!!

This has plagued me for awhile now. SMW2: Yoshi's Island is one of my favorite games, but I just don't know how to proporly pronounce "Kamek". When i was younger I said it one way but now I just don't know, please help!

"Kame" is the japanese word for turtle so Kay-mek
is probably it but i always say ca-Mek
