Whoa, necro topic. Oh well, as long as it stays on subject, I won't nuke it (since there's a question and all).

SarifinaFilth, I would think "Cake Mix" would still work, no matter which way you say Kamek. I knew a little girl who, instead of saying the name "Stuart" said "Dew-boo".

I still say "Kay-mek", all these years later. XD

If we're talking technical here, I think it's "kaw-mek", the "kaw" being like the noise a crow makes. Being derived from Japanese, this is what would make the most sense.

I remember hearing Lakitu being pronounced "law-kee-too" on the Super Show once, and I was confused because I'd always known it as "luh-kee-tuh", somehow.

Kah-mek.

But I'm know for pronouncing a lot of words the wrong way (another effect if my dyslexic-like problem), so the way I say it doesn't mean much.

^^ I've always said "lah-KEE-too", then AI gave me funny looks and said "lack-i-too". CRAZY WORDS WHOA.

Australian advertising always said Yoshi like "yuh-shee", rather than "yOH-shee". AI was similarly perplexed by my pronounciation for that. <_<

Kam-ek.

And for Lakitu, for some reason I've always pronounced it as LakeetA. It sounds better then Lak-itoo.

Caw-mek
Lah-kih-tuu

Keep in mind I'm from that region of California where they claim there is no accent whatsoever as far as English is concerned...

I pronounce it 'kay-meck', because every other pronunciation I can think of sounds like ass.
