Super Mario Bros. 1

Super Mario Bros. 2

Super Mario Bros. 3

2 is faster than the first posted one. Dunno about 1 & 3.

Just watching the first SMB one makes me cringe...there are so many close calls in that one.

And the SMB3 one...damn. That kid is crazy.

My dad has beat Super Mario Bros. in about 3 minutes, with warping.

YouTube - NES Super Mario Bros in 05:00 by R.Yoshizawa (aka. Pom).
YouTube - Super Mario Bros. 2 in 07:53
NES Super Mario Bros 3 in 10:35 by Jean-Francois Durocher (aka. Genisto)

All completed as quickly as the games will allow without cheats. Also all tool-assisted, but more fun to watch than a regular speedrun.

I suck at this.

Nothing like watching a speed run to make you feel really self-conscious about your own gaming ability.

It makes me sad when I see speed runs for games I've never beaten.

I've beaten SMB2.

SMB is too hard, and SMB3 is too long. I need a game that's just right, not too long, and not too hard... something with rigid gameplay, smooth textures, and doesn't finish so fast I can't enjoy it myself.

I can get to World 8-2 in four minutes, but the rest is Mario's funeral. In like...two hours. Stupid services are too slow. Oh, And Peach is like a broken faucet. So is Luigi too. He really needs a tissue box or something. Toad really doesn't give much of a rat's rear-end, and Wario's always late. It really sucks.

^^^ I love tough games. Keeps me sharp (and frustrated).

YIKES!!! I can't bellieve that person, dodging all those Pirahna Plants and fire bars like he did!!

I still wonder how long it would take to beat any of those Mario Bros. games without warps.

Edit(after watching the SMB2 Vid): I stopped arter seeing the person OWN the Green ... whatever. Now I feel lousy about my skill. Guess everybody has their strengths.
