Gender: Posts: 8,470 Thanks: 171 Thanked 662 Times in 404 Posts | On VGF, if a mod is needed for a particular board then the big guy that runs the place (Shane) starts a mod election. Any member that's been here for long enough can enter. Basicly, the members of VGF vote for which ever member running they think would make a good mod and do a good job running the board. At that point the election is moved to the mod forum, where the current mods take a look at the results and disguss which of the candidates they think would be best for the job. It's then that the mods usually hold their own vote, taking the results of the regular vote into consideration. The winner is then made mod. ![]() |

Thus, if a small forum is deemed unnecessary to have an entire moderator, it can be left unmodded; the supermods and admins will take a look at it now and then to see if it boiled over. |
