Best Wario Land?

So, yesterday, I decided to buy Wario Land 4 since WL3 was getting pretty lonely by itself. And I'm loving it. I think it's better than WL3. But, I became curious if others shared my opinion. So, which one's the best?

I hope the new wario land: shake will be the best. But so far wario land 2 because the story can go in so many different directions, I still have havn't gotten to the "real" ending.

Same with me ^ but I hope that Wario land shake turns out to be better than WMOD by far ...

I've never played VB Wario Land, so I can't say anything about that, but of the main WL games WLII was definitely the best. 3 was fairly good, and the original was okay. The fourth one, though, was terrible.

I own SML3 and WL4, and I must say that 4 is pretty good. I haven't played it in a while, though.

Now that I've gotten a chance to play it, I gotta go with Wario Land II. It's challenging, humorous, and I love the non-linearity and the choose-your-own adventure story.
