One thing that appealed to me was the open exploration, which MK64 is so clearly missing. The DS version had some nice features, but somehow failed to live up to the original. BTW, just what the hell is Bumper? |

Also, Bumper is a Badger. |

I loved Diddy Kong Racing for N64. I never got very far, though. Maybe I shoudl get teh DS version or something. |

I thought this was the Retro forum, being that it was just one space below it. This would be a good topic for the Retro Forum, or the Nintendo forum, as Chunky suggested. |

Me and my sister played this game many times. For even better gameplay, it's real fun the play TRUE mirror mode. What you do is just take a mirror and face it towards the TV. You then play the game through the mirror. Easier said than done. It takes about a half hour to get used to the reversed controls (right is left and left is right) and of course, the track appears to also be in the game's 'mirror mode.' Beat the entire game on mirror mode and then go back and play normally, heh. Oh and of course this mirror mode works in Mario Kart or any other racing game for that matter(but I can't imagine doing it with games besides MK and DKR). 'True' mirror mode works espiecially well on Toad's Turnpike with the game's mirror mode when the cars come racing at you. ![]() Fun, fun times. |

My guess is that they used Donkey Kong so much up to that point it was a good move to thrust one of the supporting characters into the spotlight, so Diddy was as good as a choice as anyone. |
