^Smithy, Mallow, and Geno are owned by Square, so if they appear in a Mario game, Nintendo will probably have to reach an agreement with them.

Then again, Geno appeared in M&L:SS. And Square Enix co-produced Mario Hoops.

I guess if they reappear, now's a good time.

An epic return of Mallow and Geno would be amazing. I really wish Nintendo and Square-Enix would get together and do some kind of true sequal to SMRPG. Or at the very least, bring back Mallow and Geno....

But as for your question.... hmm... I don't know. A Luigi's Mansion sequal would be pretty badass too...
