It should be noted, however, that Mario made an interesting cameo as the referee in this ground-breaking game. At the time, Mario was just a simple side-scrolling hero. What's he doing reffing? He should be in there, busting Glass Joe's glass jaw. That would be wicked. #9: Pac-Man (Mario Kart Arcade GP) ![]() Believe it or not, Mario and Pac-Man have come together in the obscure arcade title Mario Kart Arcade GP, and it's sequel. The games features several popular Mario Kart characters along with Pac-man, Miss Pac-Man, and the ghost Blinky. The sequel also features Mametchi, from the popular Tamagotchi toys. #8: Sim City (Sim City) ![]() For the SNES port of the popular Sim City, Bowser was introduced as a natural disaster. He would occasionally rise from the ocean (Godzilla called, it's for you) in search of the Mario Brothers, destroying buildings and causing fires with his flame breath. Bowser's probably bigger in this game than he is in any other game (being large enough to destroy buildings), even larger than his abnormally inflated self at the end of Sunshine. #7: Mount Rushmore (PilotWings 64) ![]() PilotWings 64 was one of two games released at the launch of the Nintendo 64, the other being Super Mario 64. The game lets you fly around the world and visit various landmarks, including Mount Rushmore. Strangely, President Washington's face has been replaced with Mario's. Shooting the face will cause it to turn into Wario's. #6: The 2008 Beijing Olympics (Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games) ![]() It was only a matter of time before Mario and Sonic set their differences aside and came together. But at the Olympic Games? I'm all for sportsmanship and everything, but I was kind of hoping they'd be in some sort of quest together to destroy evil or something. Oh well, it was a cool game. #5: Dragon Quest (Itadaki Street DS) ![]() Okay, how about this: we make a Mario Part-esque game, but with characters from the Dragon Quest series? This Japan-only game is the most recent in the popular Itadaki Street games created by Dragon Quest designer Yuji Horii. Past games have featured both Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy characters. #4: Final Fantasy (Mario Hoops 3-on-3) ![]() Mario is an athlete. He's been in tons of sports games, and it was only a matter of time before he started shooting hoops. But with the likes of Ninja and Cactuar? Not that I'm complaining about this awesome crossover, it's just odd watching a Black Mage shoot a hoop. Also, White Mage is hot. #3: SSX (SSX on Tour) ![]() What's even wierder than Mario being paired with Final Fantasy characters is Mario being paired with realistic characters. Mario, Luigi and Peach appear exclusively in the Gamecube version of this game alongside classic SSX characters. Mario and Luigi seem alright, but isn't Peach dressed a bit too warmly for snowboarding? #2: Street Fighter (Club Nintendo) ![]() This is another one of those awesome-yet-strange Mario crossovers. In the comic "Super Mario Klemp-Won-Do: Muskeln sind nicht alles!", published in the Club Nintendo magazine, Mario faces off against Zengief, Chin-Li, Blanka and Dhalsim in a contest to become grand master. #1: The NBA (NBA Street V3) ![]() I take back everything I said about Mario Hoops. Mario's cartoony form paired together with the giant, lanky members of the NBA? It's... something else, I'll tell you. I'd rather play basketball with a Moogle, thank you. That's all for this week. Keep here for next. |

If you did one of these on Sonic, look up Sega Superstars Tennis. Some of the weird crossovers in there will blow your mind. Of course, that'd be another... dead forum. @_@ Unlike this one? |

But it was trippy, especially the Pac-Man stage. #3 & #1, lol __________________ /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ WON’T YOU BECOME A MAGICAL GIRL? |
