New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Page 11

The Koopa kids seem to have been done justice so far, the ways in which you battle them is very SMB3/SMW esque, and their voices aren't nearly so obnoxious as you might imagine(and aren't overused). They're my favorite part, so far.

It's a bit unnatural feeling to shake the wii remote for certain controls, but I'm getting used to it. I like the overworld maps much better than the rather boring NSMB DS style ones, they've managed to make them exciting in appearance again, somewhat.

Yoshi ownership is confined to specific levels, sadly. I would've liked to have been able to keep him, but he's kind of a hamper for a lot of the scavenging I tend to do in the levels he appears in, anyway. Oh, and he flutter jumps, Yoshi's Island style. It's a bit strange, but it's not unwelcome.

Watching you love the game so much is making incredibly impatient, which is somewhat hard for me; if I had a coke, though, I'd probably be screaming my head off. Man, I can't wait for this.

Also, you live in Australia? Didn't know.

With all the hype this game is getting, I'm beginning to think it's a bad idea to go to the store the day it comes out, and that I should have preordered it while I had the chance.

As a word of advice to everyone (you'll understand, soon): Spoiler Below

when saving the Toad, I've found at least one level where you had to exit through a pipe. Since you have to carry the Toad through the level, it might seem like you're stuck, since you'll need to put him down to enter the pipe, but the Toad will actually follow you through.

*cackle* This is a serious first. I get to talk about an awesome new game before you guys.

Hahaha, after years of Australia being anything up to several months behind the US in releases, I'm basking in the newfound enjoyment of not having to listen to you guys discuss the latest and greatest new game without me. XD

World 8 is really intense.

People who have the game and have friends to play them with will soon come to find that your fellow players may be at times your worst enemy.

Lakitus? Not much of a problem. Boos? Piece of cake. Spiked balls that roll under unlimited momentum that seems to come out of nowhere? Eh. But other players? Goddamn, **** gets chaotic.

Teamwork is invaluable in this game.
