Okay, guys, listen up! As part of my ongoing effort to revitalize the Mario Forum, I'm starting up a special promotional deal! Here's how it goes:

Starting tomorrow (Sunday, July 26), I will give a gift to any member who posts at least five meaningful, relevant posts in the Mario Forum per day, and each member who does this will receive a new gift for every day that they do it until this promotion ends. Please note the following:

1. Both new topics and replies to existing topics will count. (So, for example, you could start one new topic and reply to four pre-existing topics, and you will receive your gift.) Posts in the Mario Mafia thread, however, do not count.

2. Posts don't carry over from day to day. (So if you post six times tomorrow, you won't start Monday with one post already to your credit. You have to do the full five per day.)

3. Your posts have to be valid, relevant, and meaningful. You can't just post something like "I like cheese" (unless we've actually gotten onto a discussion about cheese). Save that crap for the Misc. Forum.

4. You get a gift for each day you do this, no matter how many gifts you've already received. If you post five posts tomorrow and receive a gift, you'll still be able to post five posts on Monday and receive a gift.

5. A day is one 24-hour period from midnight to midnight.

6. When I say this promotional deal is over, it's over.

No offense, MM, but I don't think bribing people to post here is really going to bring in more meaningful discussion. I think just creating more interesting threads and starting different discussions yourself is the best way to get things moving here again. That's what I've been trying to do.
