Released when the Game Boy system was still in its infancy, the addictive Dr. Mario helped popularize the handheld as a 'pick up and play' system. Various remakes have appeared on the Super NES, N64, Game Boy Advance, and even WiiWare, showcasing the concept's extreme longevity and adaptability. Elements of the game have even crossed over into more action-packed titles; Dr. Mario is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and the funky Viruses appear as enemies in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. I leave you with this little palate cleanser: Last edited by Metal Mario; 12-15-2009 at 10:39 PM. | ||

It would be nice to have some new stuff, though. even though the classic formula still rocks. __________________ /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ WON’T YOU BECOME A MAGICAL GIRL? |

And your perspective is warped - culture was shifting, and what you've seen of it is what the media focused on. TV isn't real, man. It's just marketing. You can't honestly think every woman in the 50's acted like a cleaning robot, or that people thought slinkees were especially interesting beyond the first glance. People couldn't all afford new cars, etc. The stuff you see from then is as much product placement as it is now. They invented fictional people with fictional lives to sell advertising space, and in that advertising space to sell products aimed at the market. People with weird hair in the 80's, etc, were a fringe area of cultural exploration. IE: New Wave and Hair Metal weren't the only genres of music, but it's what the decade is most remembered for in music. Similar historical misunderstandings have been taught as fact for years. For instance, the belief that the world was flat was not commonly held at the time of Christopher Columbus's exploration. We instead have a skewed amount of evidence - the proponents of a flat world were louder and more fervent in their arguments, while belief in a round world was common and did not need to be voiced. The letters we have documenting the flat world are arguing against that common belief, and that is all the more reason for it to now seem like the dominant belief.
