I mean, it was never intended to be taken as a traditional SMB action-adventure. It's an educational romp designed to teach kids about geography (and to a lesser extent, history) in a semi-entertaining way, and I believe it succeeds in that. Judging it next to games like SMB 3 is not only unfair, but utterly nonsensical. |

The two-people-per-kart gimmick wasn't too different from just single-karters. The controls weren't too hot, either. The only Mario Kart games I ever felt like actually playing were 64 and Super Circuit. I've yet to play MKDS or MKWii, but I have a feeling I'll like them. |
