Also, the N64 had the best multi-player Mario games, like MK64 and Mario Party.

I've played MarioKart: Double Dash before. It was pretty good.

Thumbs up

My favorite Mario Kart game is Mario Kart DS. It brings together the best elements of the entire series.

The only thing bad about it was the Wi-Fi play.

Favorite Mario platformers: Super Mario World, Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario 64

Favorite Mario Sports titles: Super Mario Kart, Mario Tennis (N64 version)

Worst Mario platformer: SMB2 Japan. I like being challenged, but not that ridiculously.

Oh, wait, what about Mario Is Missing? God, that game...

Everyone should quit ragging on Mario Is Missing. I mean, it was never intended to be taken as a traditional SMB action-adventure. It's an educational romp designed to teach kids about geography (and to a lesser extent, history) in a semi-entertaining way, and I believe it succeeds in that. Judging it next to games like SMB 3 is not only unfair, but utterly nonsensical.

Yeah, you might as well start griping about how un-fun Mario Teaches Typing was.

Meh. The two-people-per-kart gimmick wasn't too different from just single-karters. The controls weren't too hot, either. The only Mario Kart games I ever felt like actually playing were 64 and Super Circuit.

I've yet to play MKDS or MKWii, but I have a feeling I'll like them.
