It would be kind of like what SMBHQ used to do, back when that website was at least semi-coherent. I'd announce a match-up involving at least one Mario character (Mario VS Luigi, Mario VS Sonic, Kirby VS Yoshi, Bowser VS Ganondorf, etc.), then we could discuss who we think would win in a Smash Bros. match, as well as who we think would win in a "real" match. Then I'd set all characters to AI control with Level 9 fortitude and let them rip each other apart on my copy of SSB Brawl. I'd then summarize the match for you and announce the winner. Then we'd move on to the next match-up. The question is, would you guys give enough of a damn, or should I not bother with this particular idea? |

Here are some suggestions. You don't need to follow them if you don't want to: 1. Perhaps if it weren't limited to a Mario character... 2. Make it a best 2 out of 3 battle. The results would be more reliable. 3. Mention which stages the battle took place on. |

I might become interested myself once I see it in action, but I've never been into SSB too heavily. AS can really kick my ass in Brawl, since I never play it. |

That said, SMBHQ really is a mess, so, go ahead and do this, and if it looks good enough, I might work on getting it a website. No ads, either! |

I'd personally recommend having multiple fights between each pair of AI combatants---help reduce the influence of statistical outliers. I'd also recommend leaving all the items in and setting the stage on 'random', if only because chaos is central to the SSB philosophy. |
