Though many characters from SMB 2 have gone on to assume prominent roles in the Mario universe (Shy Guy, Snifit, Pokey, Bob-Omb, and Birdo being prime examples), Wart has yet to make his triumphant return. Wart did, however, make a cameo appearance in the Game Boy's The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Here he appears as Mamu (the name by which Wart has always been known in Japan), and teaches Link a valuable Ocarina song. Particularly notable is the fact that both SMB 2 and Link's Awakening take place within dreams. Coincidence? Maybe. Or perhaps Wart does not exist on the physical plane at all, and is but a phantom of the collective unconscious, traveling as he pleases from one dream to the next, assuming different roles in those dreams as he pleases. |

You know that the villain is getting exactly what he deserves, but.........damn. Last edited by Metal Mario; 08-07-2009 at 08:43 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
