My sister has a digital camera, however, so I'll probably be able to show you guys a picture when I next see her (which will probably be Christmas, actually). For those of you who have a copy of Volume 119 of Nintendo Power, you can see the picture on page 28. It's an image of Mario performing his Super Jump Punch, coins and all. On my right forearm, by the way. |

If I were to get a Ninty tattoo, it'd have to be Mario and Luigi punching eachother like Rocky Balboa vs Apollo Creed style (Rocky 3). |

Dude, I would've gotten in on your hand. I'd have to get with Wisdom, as it's the only one that fits me...closely enough. |

I just told myself, "If little 15-year-old girls can take it, then so can I." Basically, I'd compare the sensation to that of being constantly and repeatedly scratched by a cat over and over again. It wasn't like being stabbed or burned, but it was uncomfortable. It's not the degree of pain that's the problem, really; it's more the time you're forced to endure it. When you stub your toe, it hurts like hell for a few minutes, but then the pain subsides. However, when you get a tattoo, the level of pain remains constant until the guy is done inking it. There's no real let-up. It took about 90 minutes for the guy to finish my tattoo. I did okay. Didn't need a break or anything. But I'm not sure I'd have wanted to sit for it much longer than that. |

Even if I found something I liked, I'm inclined to doubt it'd have quite the same effect fifty years hence when I'm a terrible old man who tortures small animals to death and licks their bones. (I assume that's what retirees do for fun.) Personally, I'd think a noticeable scar would work better as a conversation starter than a tattoo. I mean, there's lots of ways to get a big gash across your forehead (ice-ball fight) or shin (axe mishap at camp) or a nasty burn across the back of your hand (soldering accident), but really only one way to get a picture of Mario on your arm. Still, glad you like it. |
