Okay, here's how the lover's spat between Mario and Princess Toadstool played out.

Stage: Spear Pillar

Mario slides into Peach with a kick, and Peach beans Mario with a Turnip. Mario slaps Peach with his Cape, and Peach hip-bumps Mario. After a few more blows are exchanged, Peach grabs a Dragoon piece and knocks Mario off the left side of the stage. Mario recovers, and Dialga - the Legendary Pokemon in the background - destroys the left portion of the stage's topside. Mario grabs the second Dragoon piece to appear, and Peach grabs the third. Then Peach hits Mario with her Parasol and both combatants end up on the stage's underside. Dialga tilts the stage to the right, and Mario and Peach duel on the right edge of the underside for a few moments before Peach KO's Mario with a Smash Attack. (Mario -1)

Peach snatches up the Dragoon piece Mario drops and assembles the dreadnought. Then she flies into poor Mario before he's had a chance to do anything at all, KO'ing him a second time. (Mario -2)

Mario and Peach fight on the underside now, and Dialga tilts the stage to the right again. Mario and Peach jump back up to the topside and start trading blows right next to a Blast Box. This is, of course, a very bad idea. Inevitably it explodes, damaging Mario and KO'ing Peach. (Peach -1)

Before Peach even has the chance to re-enter, a Bob-Omb sparks to life and walks straight into Mario, who seems to see it coming but makes absolutely no effort to avoid it. Consequently, he gets blown to kingdom come.

WINNER: PRINCESS TOADSTOOL

And here's how things went down in Bowser VS Zelda town....

Stage: Pirate Ship

Bowser and Zelda jump to the center of the ship to meet each other, and hit each other with weak attacks. After a moment or two, Bowser hops over to the King of Red Lions floating to the right of the pirate ship, and Zelda follows. Zelda kicks him a couple of times, then the two combatants return to the pirate ship. The cannon in the background starts firing on the ship as Zelda knocks Bowser off the left side of the ship with Din's Fire, then snatches up two Dragoon Pieces. She throws Bowser off the ship again, but he comes back and hits her with a hard Up+A attack, knocking both of her Dragoon pieces loose. Zelda reclaims a Dragoon piece, then picks up a Hammer and pursues Bowser. Bowser tries to retreat to the King of Red Lions, but Zelda nails him in midair, KO'ing him. (Bowser -1)

Unfortunately for Zelda, the princess has positioned herself directly over the water between the pirate ship and the King of Red Lions, and now she falls in. Unable to swim while wielding the Hammer, she promptly sinks to the bottom and drowns. (Zelda -1)

Upon returning, Zelda hits Bowser with a couple of Smash Attacks, then snatches up all three Dragoon fragments, pieces together the deadly weapon, and KO's Bowser again. (Bowser -2)

Bowser re-enters and grabs a Stopwatch, slowing Zelda's movement to a crawl. Bowser is too busy fooling around with a Fire Flower in order to attack Zelda properly, however, and he doesn't really get any hits in. When Zelda's speed returns to normal, she zaps Bowser with some of her Hylian voodoo magic, then Bowser grabs her and gives her the ol' flying bodyslam, right into the deck. A Smash Ball appears and Bowser gets it, but Zelda hits the Koopa King with Din's Fire, succeeding in both knocking Bowser off the right side of the ship and dislodging the Smash Ball from his scaly grasp. Zelda then claims the Smash Ball for herself and, as soon as Bowser is lined up for the devastating Light Arrow shot, she lets it fly and puts her enemy down for good.

WINNER: PRINCESS ZELDA

Will the pretty pink princess win the day, or will Ganon use this opportunity to redeem himself for the sorry performance he put on against Mario recently? We'll find out........IN THE RING!!!!!!
