But what's this? Mario can't get in! Somebody's changed the locks! 'Tis none other than the dastardly Wario (appearing here for the very first time, no less)! Now Mario must travel through the Tree Zone, Space Zone, Macro Zone, Pumpkin Zone, Mario Zone, and Turtle Zone in order to recover the six golden coins that will permit him re-entry into his stately abode. Famous for Mario's flapping bunny ears and the debut of Wario, Super Mario Land 2 is one of the Game Boy's best side-scrolling platformers. It was also destined to be Mario's last side-scrolling platform adventure until the release of New Super Mario Bros. fourteen years later. Last edited by Metal Mario; 12-15-2009 at 10:57 PM. |
