Personally, I felt it was like the TTYD of the 3-D marios; the second game, all three were amazing, of the three it was my least favorite but I still love it to death, pieces, and beyond. I don't think the fact that it was different is any reason to call it 'not a Mario game.' [Also Bowser Jr. has been around for ages, he just was made BIG by sunshine really.] It was a new twist on an epic series. Just because the Metroid Prime games took a first-person shooter-esque viewpoint doesn't make them 'not Metroid', does it? I thought the water idea was a very unique and creative spin. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I dunno what all the hatin' is about. Yes, I liked 64 and Galaxy better, but this game still rocked my socks. |

I didn't like the graffiti-removal gameplay, I wanted platforming-heavy gameplay. I didn't like the new enemy designs. I especially dislike Bowser Jr. I didn't like the NPC designs. I didn't like the graphical style. I didn't like the music much. I didn't find the level design at all inspiring. I didn't like the voices. I didn't like the way Yoshi was handled. I didn't like the plot. I liked the haunted hotel. That was pretty much straight-up Super Mario RPG style gameplay, though, which made it strange that it should so appropriately do something it probably wasn't trying to do at all. Can't say anything else in the game was remarkable. I remember reading that the lead level designer said he didn't want to include free-floating blocks, and that seemed to explain a lot to me: much like the platforms, he wanted it all to make sense. Mario doesn't make sense. Try to force Super Mario Bros. into a world that has reasons for things, and you're probably not understanding the original appeal of SMB at all. It used to be about a fat plumber who majestically soars through the air, and combats legions of the turtle army for control of the kingdom of mushrooms. This game is about that, but more about cleaning and through that giving Mario a gimmick. Not. Fun. |

The secret stages were fun. The final boss was pretty fun. The last level was fun. I liked the setting, since it's just one Mario game. I didn't like that Yoshi dissolved. And I was a bit mad that Luigi wasn't in it. But I love Super Mario Sunshine. We need to form a group or something for people that hate it, and then a social group for people that like it... |

You might be thinking of Baby Bowser from Yoshi's Island, or the mini-Bowsers from the Mario Party series, but those are both entirely different characters. Baby Bowser is King Bowser as an infant, and the mini-Bowsers seem to be little more than mere minions. There was an instance in Mario Party 4 when one of the mini-Bowsers addressed King Bowser as "Dad", but aside from that, I've never seen any indication that there is a blood relationship between King Bowser and the mini-Bowsers. | |

Baby Bowser was actually Bowser as a baby, a la Baby Mario. also, I think TTYD was the best of the series. /shrug |
