Some are just cosmetic, others can drastically alter the game. Naturally, there are plenty of people who have made Mario-themed mods for PC games. These are some of the ones I've found. If you have the game, I'd say you should download the mods and give them a try. Doom II A pretty awesome Doom II mod which replaces enemies, textures and such with Mario-themed ones. This one is a lot of fun. You'll need Skulltag or a similar program to run it, though. It'll work with Doom II, Plutonia or TNT original wads. Download (w/ MP3-quality music): Super Doom Mario v1.1 (mp3).rar Download (w/ midi-quality music): Super Doom Mario v1.1 (midi).rar Warcraft III Here's an interesting sidescrolling WC3 map. Kind of neat, and looks like the scripting must've taken a long time to make, but doesn't look to impressive to me otherwise. Download: Mario World Xtreme Beta - Warcraft 3 Maps Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (warning: graphic vidya violence) This mod features Mario as the playable character, although a lot of other mods are also used in the second video. Still, it's pretty damn funny. Download: Mario Skin, Grand Theft Auto Downloads, Grand Theft Auto Skins Halo This mod is mostly just a bunch of colorful texture changes. Not that impressive, but worth a glance I suppose. Here's a slightly better one, althought it's just one map. Despite what the video shows, none of the music has been hacked, it's all Tiny Toon music. Download here. | ||
