Ludwig Von Koopa o_O (small SMBW spoiler)

I just finished playing Super Mario Bros. Wii (well beat the game, not the World 9 levels yet) but there was one part that made me blinks and wonder if I heard the game right.

In World 7 the Koopaling to fight is Ludwig Von Koopa, the eldest of the Koopa Kids . . . but when he sppears on screen and jumps into his castle, I honestly thought I heard wrong. Ludwig has a very very unusually deep voice! It honestly caught me off guard, I know he's supposed to be the eldest sibling, but his voice is deeper than Bowser's (by a lot!).

I think honestly it was a shock because prior to this game the only time we've come close to hearing Ludwig's voice was in the DIC cartoon with Kooky Von Koopa, who's voice was very young, feminine, and crazy (with that kooky giggling), and then now we get to hear his voice straight from Nintendo canon and its a complete opposite!

I'm not saying its bad at all, but it certaionly caught me off-guard, little crazy haired Kooky suddenly with a super deep voice!

I have a feeling that he's going to be a way more formidible foe than his father ever was.

Ludwig makes the perfect villian. Not only because he has smarts and eventually his father's strength, but because he's already spent his entire life learning hatred towards Mario.

Yeah, his voice was badass.

He basically goes "hmph!" when you enter the fortress. His battle was rather...silly, though.

...and his rematch is awesome.

You know, maybe there should be a game where you can play as the Koopa Kids instead, I think they have cooler moves then Mario or Luigi have!

Super Bowser Bros. (and Sister!)

That could work, if you give each one of their own world to beat. It's like Mega Man in reverse.

But Luigi, Wario, Peach, Yoshi, and DK are all one character. It's much easier for them to get their own game.

And he's probably Jealous of the Youngest kid now being the Favorite, he's bound to feel screwed.

Nintendo should do a game to expand on this.

IN my opinion the Koopalings where born in reverse the order you fought them in SMB3, other Fan fictions I've read however seem to disagree.

You guys know how recently someone claimed that SMB3 was just a play and made that picture? I was thinking about that.

And then...I figured out...the truth.

The Kooplings? Actors. They looked like Bowser, so they were hired for a play. (SMB3)
However, their pay wasn't very good, so they teamed up with Bowser for real. (SMW, Yoshi Safari)
Then they kinda crashed at his place for awhile. They lost their money trying to off Mario. They were there for so long Bowser forgot they existed. (M&L1)
Then Bowser told them to pay rent, work for him or get out. Thus their reappearance! (NSMBW)

The Kooplings are mere child actors!

This is why Jr. seems to be a leader among them in NSMBW despite being younger than Ludwig and probably others: they have to listen to their boss's son or they get fired. Even if his plan is strange and includes being disguised as cake.
Also why Jr. gets a clown copter of his own while the others get magic wands Kamek probably has plenty of.

Ludwig is the oldest and Iggy is the youngest. Everybody in between is anyone's guess.

Actually, it's Larry.

And according to the SMB3 guide they were born in the order you fight them in SMB3. Though this isn't officially confirmed as canon.

Wario was NOT well known. He had one appearance in an obscure Gameboy Mario game, and then a failed appearance on the Virtual Boy, its a wonder they continued using him at all after that. If he could get his own game, I see no reason why the Koopalings couldn't.

Well each of the Koopa Kids originally had their own airship too, and then their own castle. Now they all have to share the same one, but still get not one but TWO castles each! Bowser Jr. didn't even get 1 castle, he just got an airship he had to share with everyone else.

I remember Larry might have been described as the youngest in the SMB 3 guide. However, Iggy was described as the youngest in the SMW guide. So it's just another case of Nintendo's "Is he Donkey Kong or is he Donkey Kong Junior?" syndrome.

I was kind of surprised by Ludwig's voice, too. Basically, he sounded the way I imagined Roy would sound, and vice versa.

Also, I could've sworn Larry was the youngest...

I wouldn't say Super Mario Land 2 was obscure. Hotel Mario, now that's obscure. And Wario's Virtual Boy game came long after his first Game Boy adventure.
