It also introduced its fair share of new elements that have recurred in most Mario role-playing games since, such as the use of badges. The game's daring visuals and style of gameplay was roundly lauded by critics and consumers alike, and although it sometimes seemed too easy, it was still a heck of a lot of fun. Paper Mario was also largely the originator of the now somewhat commonplace concept of traditional Mario series enemies as being your friends and neighbors. With towns populated by peace-loving Koopa Troopas and Bob-Ombs, and even Mario's own troupe of sidekicks filled out with sympathetic Goombas, Boos, and Lakitus, Nintendo demonstrated to us that just because all terrorists are Koopas, that doesn't necessarily mean that all Koopas are terrorists. Paper Mario would ultimately be surpassed in virtually every conceivable way by its GameCube sequel, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. The original PM, however, remains a magnificently enjoyable adventure. It's available for download from the Wii Virtual Console for 1000 Wii Points, so, if you're a fan of Mario, a fan of RPGs, or even a fan of both, consider it highly recommended. Not as good as SMRPG, TTYD, SPM or M&L in my opinion. But better than PiT at least. |

I know the layout in my mind, so if I played it again, it would be a breeze. TTYD > SS > PM > SMRPG > PiT > SPM, in my opinion. BIS isn't there because I haven't played it yet. __________________ /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ WON’T YOU BECOME A MAGICAL GIRL? |
