He can call down electrifying thunderbolts to incinerate enemies, and it rains whenever he bursts into tears (which happens a lot). His HP Rain ability comes in particularly handy during the first half of the game, before Princess Toadstool brings her considerable healing powers to the party, and his Psychopath ability allows the player to read an enemy's mind and glimpse its HP total. (Personally, I think the name of this ability was a translation error. They were thinking of "psychic" and "telepath", and unfortunately combined the two into "psychopath", which means something altogether different.) When Mario first meets Mallow, the lad is living at Tadpole Pond, laboring under the delusion that he is a frog. (I guess Tadpole Pond doesn't have any mirrors hanging around.) Mallow's grandfather Frogfucious chooses the occasion of Mario's visit to inform Mallow of the truth, however; not only is Mallow not a frog, but he's also an abandoned orphan from an unknown and distant land. Determined to uncover the secret of his heritage, Mallow travels with Mario and friends until they reach the cloud kingdom of Nimbus Land, where it is revealed that Mallow is actually heir to the throne. A wicked woman named Valentina is trying to stage a coup by imprisoning the king and queen and presenting her henchbird Dodo to the people as the long-lost Prince Mallow. Naturally, Mario and friends defeat Valentina and restore Mallow to his familial bosom. After helping to defeat Smithy, Mallow returns to Nimbus Land to rule alongside his parents. Also I'm kinda surprized that you have done a song of the week yet. - You stupid dog. |
