Professor E. Gadd

First Appearance: Luigi's Mansion (GCN, 2001)
Latest Appearance: Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time (DS, 2005)

Eccentric scientist, inventor, and paranormal researcher Elvin Gadd debuted in Luigi's Mansion as the creator of the Poltergust 3000 vacuum cleaner and Game Boy Horror. When Luigi used these devices to capture ghosts and brought them back to Gadd's laboratory, Gadd would use another invention of his to transform said ghosts into tasteful portraits.

Professor Gadd did not appear in Super Mario Sunshine, but his influence was definitely felt; he was the inventor of both Mario's water-spraying FLUDD and Bowser Jr.'s magic paintbrush.

Professor Gadd invented Stuffwell, the talking suitcase that assists Mario and Luigi in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. In that same game, Gadd owns the swanky Starbeans Cafe, and rewards Mario and Luigi with a useful power-up every time the brothers invent a new coffee blend. In Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time, Gadd's Hydroflush 4000 proves vital to foiling the Shroob invasion of the Mushroom Kingdom.

Nor is E. Gadd a stranger to the Mario Party franchise. He occupies the "?" spaces in Mario Party 6, and makes many, many little "Gaddgets" available for purchase in Mario Party Advance.

CORRECTION: Stuffwell appears in Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time, not Superstar Saga.
