bomb omb battlefield was bomb (heh) as hell bro who would hate that.

i meant remaking world 1-1, which is the obvious "hey lets remake a classic level" move. (and is also boring as hell.)

seriously though how do you get bomb-omb battlefield out of 1-1. where does the second one come in. i don't understand

and how is it vague. how many world 1-1s are there tazy

Well, there's SMB 1, 2, 3, The Lost Levels, NSMB, NSMB Wii, and of course about 100 other non-Nintendo games.

Blame my mediocre skills of deduction.

Anyway, I'm not familiar with Nintendo remaking 1-1 in a lot of their Mario games, but given the following video, which is getting pretty close, you better hope the rest of the stage mixes it up a little or you're in for some disappointment.

Though, Galaxy 2 takes place in an AU apparently, so the beginning is somewhat new stuff. The next part to the video supports that.

I started a new file of SM64 to tide me over until Sunday. And when I got to Whomp's Fortress I thought of this, and got very very excited.

Er, I mean...

The beginning of this game seems to not only reference 1-1 but also the beginnings of both NSMB games, as well as the hill in I think 1-2 from SMB 3, so it's kind of more than just a 1-1 reference, anyway.
