He's got sports on the tube, he's deep-frying giant turkey legs, and nobody's around to bother him. Life is good. Then, suddenly and without warning, a malevolent Black Jewel tucked away in his treasure vault decides to use its diabolical sorcery to transform Wario's castle into a whole new, wacky world. Yeah, that's right. When **** gets real in the Mario universe, **** gets real. Now, if Wario hopes to restore things to their (relatively) normal state, he has to fight his way to the Black Jewel and destroy it. While simultaneously aiding a tribe of forest sprites that seem to suddenly be living in his house. Building on the character's reputation for brutal roughhousing, Wario World endows Wario with many impressive attack moves, including a power throw, a piledriver, and the ability to inhale scattered coins (which he literally beats out of enemies). The game is short, and focuses rather more on combat than is typical for a platformer. Here's a gameplay video. | ||
