(GBA, 2003) Latest Appearance: WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase (WiiWare, 2010) Of all the wacky and diverse characters that populate the Mario universe, 9-Volt may be the one easiest for us to relate to. Taking his name from the operating voltage of the NES, 9-Volt is a rabid Nintendo fanboy who has made it his life's mission to collect every piece of hardware and software the Big N has ever turned out. He eats, sleeps, and breathes video games, and so the microgames he develops for Wario are perpetually based upon classic Nintendo masterpieces like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Kid Icarus. For a bit of fun, I've included three videos of 9-Volt's Nintendo-themed compilations from various games in the WarioWare series. See how many old favorites you can pick out.
