That would be awesome!" Well, just a couple of years later, Nintendo delivered the third entry in Mario's RPG catalog and fulfilled my fond desire. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga throws video gaming's all-time dynamic duo into an epic RPG together! Building upon the unique battle system present in Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario, Superstar Saga requires the brothers to work in tandem when combating enemies. This same degree of cooperation is also needed for the navigation of the colorful, lively overworld, and for the solving of numerous puzzles to be found there; a particularly high ledge can be reached if Luigi bounds off of Mario's head, and Mario can employ Luigi as a flame-powered battering ram to knock over heavy enemies. The narrative is very humorous and whimsical, with a strong emphasis on comedy and series references. Fawful (who has FURY!) makes his debut here, and SMRPG's Geno puts in a delightful little cameo. |

The story was interesting, and it one of the few times that the good guys didn't look like utter chumps. It had barely any replay value, but it was fun throughout for me. |
