Rool's army of Kremlings. They are typically the weakest and least threatening of the Kremlings, and can be taken out easily with either a stomp on the head or a barrel to the face. They first appeared in Donkey Kong Country, in which they assumed a variety of colors and attack patterns. For DKC 2's pirate theme, they amputated one leg, replaced it with a wooden peg, and went under the pseudonym of Klomp. (If K. Rool tells you to do something, you ****ing do it.) They did not appear in DKC 3, however; they were replaced by others like Kobble, Re-Koil, and Slippa. A Kritter named Krunch appears as a playable character in Diddy Kong Racing. He was sent to Timber's Island on a recon mission, in order to determine if the sudden activity there had anything to do with some sort of anti-Kremling plot. For Donkey Kong 64, all Kritters were based upon Krunch's character design, and even wore the same black leather vest. Kritter made his first big splash in Mario's wide world of sports in Super Mario Strikers, in which he plays the goalie position on both sides. There's no swapping him out; no matter what team you choose, your goalie is going to be Kritter. And this also holds true for this game's Wii follow-up, Mario Strikers Charged. Kritter is also a playable character in Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast and Mario Super Sluggers. |
