Best DK villains?

Who are the better villains in the Donkey Kong games? The Kremling Krew, the classic crocodilian enemies that have appeared in most DK games, or the Tiki Tak Tribe, the musical tikis who were introduced as the new villains of Donkey Kong Country Returns?

Try not to let nostalgia affect your vote, and pick the one you think is the better gang.

I'm inclined to vote the Tiki Tak Tribe, but that's probably just because I've been playing DKCR lately and the sound from when things are hypnotized is stuck in my head.

I am undecided, actually.

Maybe Retro Studios just wanted a new villain rather than roll out the same old villains. Maybe they wanted Tiki Villains.

Really, this isn't a fair contest since the Kremlings have been inventive enough and have done enough plans to blow anyone else out of the water, unless the Tiki Tak Tribe has actually come up with something different that puts them over K. Rool

The Kremlings had more fun design. All in all, the design of the Tikis is really boring. The only enemy I love the design for are the dudes who lean backward and fall forward.

Well, the Kremlings did kidnap DK once. The Tikis tried, but their music was useless. The Tikis get 'finished off' in a cooler way, though.

Yeah, the current Donkey Kong is Donkey Kong Jr. Cranky Kong/Donkey Kong Sr. was a villain first, so he counts.

Actually, whether or not Cranky Kong was the original Donkey Kong, and whether today's Donkey Kong is Donkey Kong Jr. or Cranky's grandson has been repeatedly contradicted by Nintendo.

That's all questionable in application, anyway, because DKC:R's got Cranky Kong making comments as though he were DK in original DKC.

I go with what the original DKC manual states. And Cranky Kong was in the opening story as much as Diddy Kong was.

(and if the DK from DKC is now Cranky Kong, does that mean Candy Kong is the new Wrinkly Kong?) -CSM
