My Toad/Peach Pic (2nd version added)

For several years, I've played with the idea of Toad/Peach, since I think it would be neat. This time, I decided to draw the two as a couple, with Toad sporting a stylish cape and Peach wearing her cute tennis skirt. Both characters are done in an emulation of Charlie Nozawa's style from the "Nintendo Power" comics, which is why Toad has those nifty sunglasses and why Peach is so hot. It's in B/W, but I still want to hear what you think.

Toad looks like he's on acid, hehe. Peach is well drawn though.

Can't be helped; this is basicly how Nozawa draws his Toad. Personally, I don't Toad looks like he's trippin' on 'shrooms: they're just sunglasses. Rather stylish, too, when you think about it.

I suppose all art can be interpreted in different ways. But there's no way you'll get that inpression upon my next Toad/Peach fanart. We'll assume for this pic that Toad is of similiar age to Peach. He may be short, but he is a Mushroom Retainer which, judging by what he does in Mario RPG, is an important job.

Your comment reminds me of Tatl's remark concerning Anju and Kafei in "Majora's Mask". Shows that all things aren't as they might appear to some.

He's supposed to look like that. No, not odd, just in the Nozawa style.

Here's a different version of the picture. In it, Toad now has an arm around his princess, and the two are now pressed up nice and close. Tell me which one you like better.
